Recently, my skin has been dry. Like, seriously dry.

If you weren’t aware, maskne — that pesky acne breakout you may be experiencing as a result of wearing face masks all day — is real. Perhaps it’s been a result of more errand-running or maybe a failed skincare routine, but my skin’s sensitivity has been off the charts the last few weeks.

Most recently, my skin started peeling and felt zapped of all hydration. Thankfully, I found a product that has been saving the day: the Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic moisturizer.

Alright, so what is this product? This is a broad-spectrum SPF 45 sunscreen with a “unique water-break texture and invisible finish that protects the skin and provides up to 72 hours of hydration,” according to the Sephora site.

I love this product for multiple reasons. First, the built-in sunscreen has protected my sensitive skin from harmful UVA/UVB rays, which also has helped prevent MORE damage to my skin while I’ve been trying to get my skincare routine back on track.

Secondly, the hyaluronic acid in its formulation really helps me with hydration, which has kept the annoying peeling and scaling down to a minimum.

With a 4.6-star rating and over 10,000 likes on Sephora already, it’s clear that this moisturizer is a winner for most. “This is awesome. I used to use the PTR regular hyaluronic acid, but I love that this also has SPF in it. It’s really lightweight and doesn’t feel sticky at all like other serums I’ve tried,” wrote one customer.

The only downside pointed out by customers was the price, which can feel a bit steep if you’re on the search for a budget-friendly option.

However, I can attest to the fact that, despite its price, a product that does skincare and sunscreen in one while also helping my skin heal is a win in my book. Plus, a little product goes a long way and you can use this on other parts of your body that also tend to get dry.

Definitely check this product out if you’ve also been struggling with your skin lately and need a bit of boost. It’s made for all skin types and addresses a number of skincare concerns like fine lines, wrinkles and dryness. Yep, definitely a winner to me.
