Mobile’s Red Clay Strays to open for The Rolling Stones in Boston

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile-based band, The Red Clay Strays, announced Wednesday they will be opening for The Rolling Stones during one of their shows.

According to the band’s Facebook page, they will open for The Rolling Stones on May 30 at Gillette Stadium in Boston.

“Honored is an understatement, a dream doesn’t quite define it and it’s well beyond any goals we could have set or imagined for ourselves,” read the post.

The show they are performing at is part of the “Stones Tour ’24.”

The five-man band started in Mobile and has been touring with big-name artists including Elle King, Dierks Bentley and Eric Church.

They have opened for Kip Moore, Nikki Lane, Old Crow Medicine Show and Brothers Osborne.

The band also performed at the Grand Ole Opry, which according to their website, was a “lifelong dream.”
