“Mob Wives’ ”Renee Graziano Recalls Relearning to Walk After Near-Fatal Fentanyl Overdose: 'I Was Dead'

“Everything in my life was falling apart,” the 55-year-old said

Renee Graziano is reflecting on her near-fatal overdose last year.

The 55-year-old Mob Wives alum appeared on this week’s episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast where she opened up about being hospitalized after taking drugs laced with fentanyl. She admitted her struggle with drugs came at a low point in her life.

“I OD'd over this. I just lost my whole life. I couldn’t come up for air,” she said, noting that her sister Jennifer Graziano "wasn't talking to me for a year and a half."

“Everything in my life was falling apart,” she continued. “My son [AJ Pagan] didn’t want to talk to me. Nobody wanted to talk to me. Everything just started piling up and piling up. I gave up.”

Bunnie XO then noted that Graziano was also dealing with the death of her father Anthony Graziano, former consigliere of the Bonanno family.

“I just lost my s—, man. September 18, someone gave me a bag of fentanyl,” Graziano said, explaining that she was given a bad batch of an unspecified drug she was hoping to get. “I died in a restaurant in Florida. I was dead, intubated for three days. No one in my family came to the hospital and I spent nine days there learning how to walk again.”

“That was it for me,” she said, noting that she doesn’t remember anything from the overdose. “Three days are wiped from my brain. I don’t know what happened at all.”

Graziano said the near-death experience — plus her family not being there — ultimately pushed her to change her life and go to rehab shortly after.

“They said I wasn’t gonna make it and my family just couldn’t do it,” she said. “And I don’t blame them. I’ve put them through hell.”

Graziano previously went to rehab in 2012 after she was arrested for hitting a parked 2020 Jeep Wrangler, which was unoccupied at the time, and charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a substance.

The reality star reportedly told authorities she had taken Adderall ahead of the crash.

Graziano's publicist later confirmed to PEOPLE that she was entering rehab, adding that "it is not for any current drug or alcohol use of any kind."

The rep said at the time: "Her choice to enter rehab was made entirely on her own. She has made this decision for the betterment of her son AJ [Pagan]'s life, as well as to improve her physical, mental and spiritual health." She was reportedly at Miami's Transitions rehab center.
