Mob Psycho 100 III Episode 8 Recap

While traveling to Mud Boat Mountain, the group misses the route they were supposed to take. Mob gets car sick, causing Reigen to accidentally bump the car into a tree. The group tries to look for the hiking trail but gets lost. Reigen decides that they should hike to the top of the mountain instead and come back for the car later. Eventually, they get to the summit. Takenaka begins doing the ritual for summoning a UFO. He admits he stayed up all night researching the topic, which is why he was late for the meetup. Tome still doesn’t believe in her clubmates, but Takenaka begins speaking out her thoughts. Everyone starts doing the summoning ritual.

Takenaka reveals the author of the UFO book they were reading was arrested for fraud. The ritual was also fake. However, Reigen commends the kids for working together and making a good memory. When Mob asked about the UFO sightings, Takenaka said the sightings actually happened. Mob encourages everyone to try again. Eventually, a group of friendly UFOs arrives, and the students bond with them through the night. Before parting ways, they give each other presents. The group made it in time for the first sunset of the year, but Inukawa was left behind with the UFOs.
