MKTO Get Kidnapped in ‘Bad Girls’ Video and They Love It

After watching the video for MKTO’s “Bad Girls,” it’s clear that Malcolm Kelley and Tony Oller agree with the proverbial phrase, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” When their characters are kidnapped by a group of sexy female bandits, they are slow to complain.

As the gorgeous, scantily-clad villains blindfold, imprison, and taunt the pop duo, the guys happily smile, especially when they learn that they have been captured to put on a concert.

Having an opportunity to utilize their acting skills in the video was a plus for the singer-actors, who formed the group after co-staring on the Nickelodeon show Gigantic.

They collaborated on the idea with director Hana Lux Davis, who also helmed Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj’s “Bang Bang.”

“The ending was our little twist to add into it, which I think people will get a kick out of,” Oller told Radio.com.

MKTO were also excited about the video’s Mad Max, military feel. “What made shooting the video even better was that we were lucky enough to have the entire set where they shoot American Sniper,” Oller adds. “It allowed us to have tanks and Hummers in the video. If you look closely, you’ll see the propaganda they used in the film. It was surreal because we had just seen the movie.”
