Who Is Mitchelle Blair & Why Is She Called Freezer Mom?
In one of the most disturbing crimes, a 35-year-old mother named Mitchelle Blair killed two of her children and shoved their bodies in the freezer for almost three years. The case came to light in 2015 when Blair received an eviction notice for not paying rent. The accused left her apartment. However, when the crew of the 36th District Court arrived to clear the apartment on March 24, 2015, they found two bodies in the freezer.
The authorities questioned the mother about the bodies, who admitted to killing her 13-year-old daughter, Stoni Blair, and her nine-year-old son, Stephen Berry. When asked about the crime, Blair said that her children were turning into demons, so she decided to kill them. The authorities apprehended and brought the mother to trial. Mitchelle Blair pleaded guilty and admitted to her crimes.
During the trial, the media started calling Mitchelle Blair “Freezer Mom” for stuffing her childrens’ boodies in the freezer. Following this, the court sentenced Mitchelle Blair to life in prison for brutally killing two of her kids.
What did Mitchelle Blair do?
The authorities interrogated Mitchelle Blair after she told the authorities that she had killed two of her children. During the interrogation, Blair noted that Stoni and Stephen were reportedly sexually abusing her youngest son. Additionally, she alleged that her youngest son told her what happened to him, and that’s when she started torturing two of her children. In August 2012, she poured hot water on Stephen’s genitals and forced him to drink Windex before strangulating him with a belt.
Almost nine months following the killing of Stephen, the mother reportedly killed her daughter after Stoni told her that she did not like her siblings. As a result, Mitchelle Blair strangled her daughter with “a black T-shirt and suffocated her with a plastic bag.” Even though Blair killed her children for sexually abusing her youngest son, it was never proven that the child had been sexually assaulted.
