‘Mistresses’ Showrunner Rina Mimoun Sets ‘Indivisible’ Drama at ABC (EXCLUSIVE)

“Mistresses” showrunner Rina Mimoun is working on a drama project for ABC that will examine the contemporary experience of immigrants in America.

Indivisible” revolves around the tenuous friendship of a single mother newly transplanted to New York and her devout Islamic neighbor. The pair’s relationship is tested when the love affair between their children sets off a global jihad.

Mimoun is writing and will exec produce with Gary Randall for ABC Studios. She’s already under an overall deal at ABC Studios.

Mimoun has become a go-to writer-producer for ABC. She’s been at the helm of summer soap “Mistresses” for two seasons. She was also enlisted last season on ABC Studios’ Fox dramedy “Red Band Society,” and she worked on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” in 2013-14.

Mimoun created and was showrunner of the well-received CW drama “Privileged” in the 2008-09 season. Other past credits include WB Network’s “Everwood” and ABC’s “Pushing Daisies.”

She’s repped by UTA and Felker Toczek.
