If you couldn't make it out to The Eras Tour this summer, no need to fret. Swifties will soon be able to experience Taylor Swift's latest tour in a different way: on the big screen.

"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" is a nearly three-hour film that presents a concert-like experience for fans. The film debuts in theaters nationwide on Friday, Oct. 13.

The film was directed by Emmy award-winning director Sam Wrench, known for his live event films, and produced by Swift herself. Wrench has directed films like "Billie Eilish Live at The O2," "Blur: New World Towers" and "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage — Seoul: Live Viewing Film."

Uniquely, the film is distributed by AMC Theatres, a first for the entertainment company. In addition to featuring the film at its own theaters domestically, AMC is distributing the film to theaters in over 100 countries.

Ticket sales for the film reached over $26 million on the first day of availability, a revenue-breaking record for AMC, according to a news release. The previous record was $16.9 million for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in 2021.

The Eras Tour kicked off in Phoenix, Arizona in March and concludes in Indianapolis, Indiana in November 2024. Each concert spanned over three hours and featured 44 songs from Swift's decades-long career. Visually-engaging backgrounds, backup dancers and synchronized light-up wristbands scattered throughout the crowd made Swift's concerts one to remember for tens of thousands of fans this year.

Swift graced Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in July, bringing celebrities like Joey King, Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash on stage throughout her performance. She continues to make headlines for her apparent relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
