Miss Central Arkansas Kristin Hardy has a heart toward mental health

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Miss Central Arkansas, Kristin Hardy is putting her mind toward her desire to be crowned Miss Arkansas.

The classically trained flutist told KARK 4 News that she has been playing the flute since the 6th grade and is putting her musical talents and desire for the community at the forefront in representing herself and Arkansas.

Hardy said she has a passion for mental health with her initiative called MIND, for Mental Illness Never Defines, which has a focus on the minority community. She is focusing her education on a Ph.D. in psychology and is also an avid rock climber.

Hardy will be part of the excitement on the Miss Arkansas Pageant coming up on Saturday, June 15, and airing on KARK. For more information on the competition, visit MissArkansas.org.
