Blake Shelton Feels Vindicated by New Miranda Lambert Cheating Rumors

A Potential Run In

Blake Shelton may have found love with Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert recently married New York City cop Brendan McLoughlin, but there is always the potential for awkwardness between exes. They're both leaders in the same industry, so they're bound to run into each other at awards shows and other high profile events.

Both of them are nominated for CMAs this year, so is Miranda worried about running into Blake? A source close to the singer told Hollywood Life offered some insight into the situation.

"Miranda won’t go out of her way to avoid Blake [at the CMAs]. She’s not worried at all about being in the same room as him."

Is She Nervous?

Lambert and Shelton split four years ago amidst cheating rumors, and while it may have been a reason for anxiety for Lambert in the past, the source claims that she's moved on completely.

"In the past, it was a source of anxiety but not anymore. She’s so incredibly happy and satisfied with her life now and her marriage to Brendan. She’s at a point where she’s deeply grateful that things didn’t work out with Blake, so seeing him is no longer any sort of issue for her. Plus, Brendan will be there with her, and he makes her feel invincible, so she’s not worried."

New Love In Her Life

Lambert has been open about how much meeting McLoughlin has changed her life. She told Sunday Today:

"It definitely feels good to be singing a few love songs. I mean, I don't want to get too happy, where I can't write a sad song.

There's ups and downs. But in my case it's just public. So sometimes it gets a little rough. But just because it's all out there, for everybody to hear and see ... But so is happiness. And that's where I am right now."

Influencing Her Music

Lambert is open about what life is like with a companion like McLoughlin and how it changes everything.

"When you truly find someone that loves you for who you are, and that you genuinely are smiling, it's like a smile from the inside. It's a lot that kind of clicks on, that you really didn't know was off. He's pretty laid-back and friendly and sweet and just [a] very go-with-the-flow kind of guy, which is great for this life. And I'm glad to share it with him and that he's open to it."

She credits McLoughlin as a major influence for her latest album Wildcard and is clearly doing well, so running into Shelton is probably the furthest thing from her mind.
