Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin flash swimsuit bods on Instagram

Miranda Lambert is still loving that newlywed life!

The country singer took a break from recording new music by taking a trip to Lake Tahoe in California, where she soaked up the sun alongside some friends and her new husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

On Sunday, Lambert shared a gallery post of photos on Instagram from her trip, including a sunset snap, a group shot with some of her girlfriends and a swimsuit-clad picture with her husband. In the last photo, Lambert rocks a floral bikini top, jean shorts, sunglasses and a "Lake Tahoe" trucker hat. McLoughlin is shirtless in the sun-filled snap, showing off his six-pack abs in a patterned swimsuit that he wore with aviators and a trucker hat.

Lambert shocked fans in February when she announced that she'd married the NYPD officer a month earlier. The pair has slowly but surely made their marriage more public, making their public debut at the ACM Awards back in April.

A month later, the singer's rep shot down rumors that the couple was already calling it quits. In fact, Lambert and McLoughlin appear to be going very strong. In June, the "Gunpowder & Lead" hitmaker opened up about becoming a stepmother by marrying her police officer husband, who welcomed a child with his ex-girlfriend three days before meeting Lambert last November.

""My stepson is amazing,” she told Extra. "I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great."
