Miranda Lambert and Enrique Iglesias Announce 'Space in My Heart' Duet: 'Texas Meets Spain!'

The country star and Latin pop star are set to release a collaborative single on Feb. 22

Miranda Lambert; Enrique IglesiasA country music legend and a Latin pop superstar are teaming up for an unexpected but very exciting collaboration.
On Monday, Miranda Lambert, 40, and Enrique Iglesias, 48, revealed they’re set to release a duet titled “Space in My Heart.” The hitmakers shared on social media that the upcoming track is due out on Feb. 22.
Lambert and Iglesias announced the project and its release date by posting a snippet of the unreleased song and the single artwork on Instagram. The image is a sultry black-and-white photo of the two stars, with Lambert casting her gaze down and Iglesias looking into the camera.

The country star also posted to her Instagram Story to share how excited she was to drop the song. “Texas meets Spain! 🤠,” she wrote over the single artwork, referring to her native Texas and how Iglesias hails from Madrid.
“Can’t wait for y’all to hear this one,” she added.
The brief clip of audio that the two Grammy winners teased reveals the forthcoming song to be a tender, romantic ballad about longing.
“You don’t love me yet / But I know you will / If you only felt / Half of what I feel / If you ever go / I will never change / There’s a space in my heart / And it’s just your shape,” they harmonize in the snippet.
The song seems to pull from both of their genres, as it appears to feature the gentle picking of an acoustic guitar and allows both Lambert’s twang and Iglesias’ croon to shine.
“Space in My Heart” marks the first collaboration between the singer-songwriters. It’s unclear at this time if the single is a stand-alone song or will appear on a larger project, such as Iglesias’ forthcoming Final Vol. 2.

The song is Lambert’s first release of the year and follows “If You Were Mine,” another team-up that she dropped in June 2023 with Leon Bridges. The single was the first track to be released since the “Kerosene” singer revealed in March of that year that she was parting ways from her longtime record label, Sony Music Nashville, after 19 years.
At the time, the CMA Award winner shared a thoughtful post on Instagram about her decision. She wrote, “I’m so thankful for our time together and everything they made possible for me, yet I wouldn’t be true to myself if I wasn’t constantly looking for the next challenge and a new way to stretch my creativity. With that in mind, I’ve decided to say goodbye to my Sony family. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure holds.”
As for the “Bailando” artist, he recently shared “Fría” featuring Cuban singer Yotuel, which is set to appear on his upcoming album Final (Vol. 2).
The Spanish superstar’s upcoming LP is to be his last album ever. He previously released the first half of the project, Final (Vol. 1), in 2021.
Although he’s confirmed that the forthcoming project will be his last full-length release, he previously confirmed to PEOPLE in a 2021 interview that it didn’t mean he was fully retiring. “It means that it's the last album that I'm gonna make," the “Hero” singer clarified. "That doesn't mean I'm retiring — a lot of people have asked me, are you gonna retire?"
He continued, "No, I'm never gonna retire! I'm gonna keep on writing songs, but that doesn't mean I need to be putting out albums every so often.”
While a release date has yet to be officially announced for Final (Vol. 2), Iglesias previously told TODAY in a November 2023 interview that he was eyeing a February 2024 release.
