Mira Sorvino — and Her Daughter! — Will Recreate “Romy and Michele”'s Iconic 'Time After Time' Routine on “DWTS”

Mattea, 18, will join her actress mom and pro Gleb Savchenko for the "beautiful" Most Memorable Year Night tribute

Mira Sorvino is paying homage to one of her most beloved roles on Tuesday's Dancing with the Stars.

For Most Memorable Year Night, the 56-year-old actress and her partner Gleb Savchenko, 40, are recreating the dance scene from Romy and Michele's High School Reunion — and they're tapping a very special guest: Sorvino’s 18-year-old daughter Mattea Backus!

The contemporary routine will be set to Cyndi Lauper’s "Time After Time," an homage to the trio she performed with costars Lisa Kudrow and Alan Cumming in the cult-favorite 1997 comedy.

“I am so excited because, this week, I get to live out another dream which is to dance with my daughter,” the Oscar winner told Entertainment Tonight at rehearsals on Monday.

She continued, “Gleb choreographed this incredible dance to 'Time After Time' about the love between parents and a daughter and, you know, her going away and coming back — but love always returns, and we always end up together in the end.”

“And it's really beautiful,” she added.

The Romy and Michele-inspired dance is not only a celebration of her daughter, but also of her most memorable year: 2004.

“That's the year I got married to my husband, Christopher Backus, and that's the year we had our first child, Mattea,” Sorvino told ET, adding that her “life changed forever for the better.”

"My heart just grew 10 times and I just love my children, my family, so much,” she continued. “And to have my daughter here today, it's just mind-blowing!"

Mattea — who has been a ballet dancer for years, per ET — has been cheering on her mother each episode and is looking forward to joining her on DWTS dance floor.

“We've never danced together before, besides once in The Nutcracker, but I was like 5,” she said.

Of watching her mom, Mattea said, "It's been so crazy. The first week I was so nervous watching her ... then she went out and I was like, 'Oh, she's all good! She's gonna do fine.’”

Tuesday night's scores are yet to be determined, but either way Mattea is sure "it's gonna be something I know that we'll remember and cherish for the rest of our lives.”

Sorvino's mother-daughter dance will not be the only sentimental performance of the night —

Tuesday's episode will kick off with a touching tribute to late Head Judge Len Goodman set to Henry Mancini's “Moon River." The poignant routine — which is choreographed by Jenna Johnson and husband Val Chmerkovskiy — will be performed by past and present pros, as well as judge Derek and co-host Julianne Hough (who are both former pros themselves).

Then, the 10 remaining season 32 couples will all take the stage to perform dances of great personal significance. Here's the list, per Parade:

• Alyson Hannigan and pro Sasha Farber will perform a Viennese waltz to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.

• Xochitl Gomez and pro Val Chmerkovskiy will perform a Viennese waltz to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez.

• Ariana Madix and pro Pasha Pashkov will perform a Viennese waltz to “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish.

• Lele Pons and pro Brandon Armstrong will perform a contemporary to “I’ll Stand By You” by Pretenders.

• Charity Lawson and pro Artem Chigvintsev will perform a contemporary to “Lose You to Love Me” by Selena Gomez.

• Jason Mraz and pro Daniella Karagach will perform a quickstep to “On the Road Again” by Willie Nelson.

• Harry Jowsey and pro Rylee Arnold will perform a contemporary to “Keep Your Head Up” by Andy Grammer (a season 21 competitor hismself).

• Barry Williams and pro Peta Murgatroyd will perform a paso doble to “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf.
