The Minnesota Twins just achieved a major milestone on Wednesday. The MLB team won their first playoff series in 21 years, after sweeping the Toronto Blue Jays 2-0 at Target Field.

As a result, the Twins celebrated with champagne, goggles and plenty of smiles as they turned their locker room into the site of the biggest party in the state.

Photos from inside the team's locker room showed players pouring champagne on each other — and themselves — as they danced around in celebratory fashion.

The official Twins Instagram account also joined in on the fun after the win, posting a slideshow of some standout players toasting their historic drought-ending victory. Among them was pitcher Joe Ryan, shortstop Kyle Farmer, pitcher Louie Varland, shortstop Carlos Correa, pitcher Pablo López Serra, center fielder Byron Buxton and shortstop Royce Lewis.

And for some players, like Matt Wallner, the celebration also included being sprayed by champagne mid-interview.

"Getting a little WILD!!! 🤪," the Twins account captioned an Instagram slideshow of celebratory snaps.

The Twins' last postseason win was in 2002, during an American League Division Series against the Oakland Athletics, per CBS Sports.

"Everything is October. The mentality is different. I'm just giving everything out there, everything I have," Correa told CBS News. "I'm going to keep doing that for the rest of the time that I'm here in Minnesota."

Their first game against the Astros is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7 in Houston.
