Minnesota TV Station Doesn’t Know How Many Games Are in an NFL Season

After the Minnesota Vikings’ one-point preseason victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Minneapolis NBC affiliate KARE ran a fan poll during their local news broadcast. The poll asked fans how they thought the Vikings would do this year, with options from 0-12 to 6-6 to Super Bowl. The only problem is that there are 16 games in an NFL regular season.

Lead anchor Randy Shaver introduced the real-time poll before going to sportscaster Eric “Perk” Perkins, who also didn’t catch the mistake. Instead, Perk called the notion of the Vikings in the Super Bowl preposterous, then went on to say that he wouldn’t rule it out before going into the details about the game.
