Preview: 3 questions entering Suns-Timberwolves matchup as Chris Paul on early pace to make history

Winners and Whiners: Take the Suns vs. Timberwolves

Chris King writes: "Minnesota has plenty of talent, including their twin tower look of Gobert and Towns in the low block. The problem is that they have sputtered shooting from the perimeter, which was a strength for them a season ago. Trying to make the adjustment with guys like Malik Beasley missing from last season’s team takes time. Phoenix has played well, even without Crowder in the mix, as the nucleus of the team is still intact. The Suns have been a dangerous team the last couple of seasons and are a two-point overtime loss at Portland away from having a perfect record on the season. Playing at home against a Minnesota team that is still putting all the pieces together works in their favor. Back the Suns at home in this contest."

Sportsbook Wire: Suns 119, Timberwolves 111

Skyler Carlin writes: "The Timberwolves are still trying to figure things out with the addition of C Rudy Gobert, so I’ll go with SUNS -4.5 (-120). Phoenix looks like the better overall team thus far, even with Ayton ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup."
