Industrial legends Ministry have released their 16th studio album, HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES. The LP is now available to stream below.
HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES features Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen doing what he does best, offering scathing commentary on the state of the world over a sonic assault of blistering industrial music. Early singles “Goddam White Trash,” “Just Stop Oil” (named one of our Best Metal & Hard Rock Songs of 2023), and “B.D.E.” (“Big Dick Energy”) pulled no punches, and that energy is matched on the rest of the album.
Highlighting HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES are guest spots from Corrosion of Conformity’s Pepper Keenan (“Goddam White Trash”), Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz (“Cult of Suffering”), and punk icon Jello Biafra (“Aryan Embarrassment”).
Ministry recently embarked on a headlining tour in support of HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES featuring support from Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly, with tickets available here. Heavy Consequence caught the kickoff show in San Francisco, serving up our review and photo gallery a day later.
HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES is available to stream via the Apple Music or Spotify player below, followed by our recent video interview with Al Jourgensen. Order the album on vinyl or CD at this location.
