A Mims husband and wife died in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Oak Hill, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office reported.

Richard Parsons, 64, and Michelle Parsons, 52, died in the crash. They were riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on U.S. 1 about 8:30 p.m. near Golden Bay Boulevard, roughly 1½ miles north of Maytown Road.

The Harley-Davidson swerved off the roadway onto the right shoulder and struck a pole, knocking both riders off the motorcycle and into the road, deputies said in a news release.

Moments after the crash, a southbound truck on U.S. 1 struck Michelle Parsons on the roadway, the news release said.
