Adam Pawlak, the owner and chef at Milwaukee restaurant Egg & Flour Pasta Bar, is aiming to take on celebrity chef Bobby Flay.

Pawlak announced on social media that he'll compete on the Food Network Show "Beat Bobby Flay." His episode will air April 11 at 8 p.m. — the eighth episode eight of the show's 36th season.

The show pits two contestants against each other for a 20-minute showdown, where they try to impress judges with the best dish using an ingredient chosen by Flay. The winner gets to face Flay in a 45-minute cookoff with a dish of their choice.

Pawlak's episode is called "Raise the Steaks" and the episode preview says, "Michael Symon and comedian Chris Redd leave Bobby Flay in tears while chefs Adam Pawlak and Page Pressley impress with their takes on a classic." Pressley is the chef and owner of The Newsstand in San Antonio, Texas.

Pawlak was previously on the Food Network's "Superchef Grudge Match" and Season 19 of Fox's "Hell's Kitchen."

And he's not the first Milwaukee chef to compete on "Beat Bobby Flay." Brian Cripps, the executive chef at Tre Rivali at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel competed in an episode that aired in July 2023.

Current Bravo "Top Chef" contestant Dan Jacobs, co-owner of DanDan and EsterEv, competed on an episode that aired in August 2020.

Pawlak opened Egg & Flour Pasta Bar in the Bay View neighborhood, at 2273 S. Howell Ave., in 2020 and was previously at the Crossroads Collective Food Hall at 2238 N. Farwell Ave.
