Milo Ventimiglia is a married man!

The This Is Us actor quietly tied the knot with girlfriend Jarah Mariano in 2023, a rep confirmed to PEOPLE. Us Weekly was first to report the news, noting that the couple exchanged vows officially earlier this year in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends.

The duo first sparked dating rumors in 2022, but have kept their relationship out of the spotlight since.

Ventimiglia has been notoriously private about his relationships, telling PEOPLE in 2017 that he prefers to remain personally "invisible" so people can focus on his work.

“I try to minimize myself so people can see the character and can really dive into the work,” he explained. “I try and remain as anonymous and invisible as I can so it doesn’t take away from the experience of the men that I play. I don’t know how interesting my life is any more than anyone else’s.”

She was born in Hawaii

Mariano was born in Kauai, Hawaii, but later relocated with her family to California. In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May 2021, Mariano opened up about her heritage on her Facebook page, noting that her mother “is of Korean descent, but born & raised in Hawai'i” while her father is from Hawaii and “his mother is Native Hawaiian.”

After growing up in California, she wrote, she moved to New York City as a teenager, and “was based there for 15 years.” She added in her post, “So again, ask me where I’m from or what I am .. maybe next time I’ll just say a human on Planet Earth! All aside, I am proud of my heritage & all of its unique contributions.”

She graduated from Pace University

Following her move to N.Y.C., Mariano attended Pace University, where she eventually received her degree in Speech Communications with a concentration in Media Studies, per her IMDb page.

She’s a model

Mariano is a model who has appeared in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, MAC, Armani Exchange and more as well as numerous catalogs for Victoria's Secret.

Additionally, she has appeared as a model for Sports Illustrated, making her Swimsuit Issue debut in 2008. Per her Instagram account, she is managed by Next Models Los Angeles, Elite Model Management NYC and Elite Model Management Miami.

In addition to modeling, Mariano has a few acting credits to her name. She has appeared in a handful of music videos, including JAY-Z’s "Show Me What You Got," and has made appearances in shows and films such as Chuck and The Audition.

Mariano regularly posts about hitting the waves and relaxing on the beach on her Instagram account. She's also active in many other ways, frequently sharing videos of herself wakeboarding, skiing, playing tennis and doing yoga, among other activities.

She and Milo were first linked in 2022

Fans were first tipped off about Ventimiglia's romance with Mariano in 2022 after Instagram account Deuxmoi first revealed they were an item. In response to a follower asking who Ventimiglia was dating, Deuxmoi responded on their Instagram Story sharing a photo of Ventimiglia and Mariano together.

In the image, which was first posted by @johannacyn, the swimsuit-clad couple appeared to be opening a bottle of Champagne together, while smiling directly at one another. "welcome to the hood @jaharm + mi," the caption read, suggesting that the two had moved to a new neighborhood.

The couple later sparked marriage rumors in October 2023, after Ventimiglia was seen wearing a wedding band on his ring finger, in photos obtained by TMZ.

She and Milo secretly tied the knot in early 2023

According to Us Weekly, Ventimiglia and Mariano tied the knot in early 2023 during a private wedding ceremony among family and close friends. In photos obtained by the publication, the couple donned matching white outfits and leis.

In February 2024, Ventimiglia shared an update on married life in an interview with Extra, saying that "things are good."

"We've had relationships that have come and have gone and then you get to a point where you kind of meet your match and meet someone that inspires you in a way different than anybody else," he said. "I'm grateful for her and I’m happy to have arrived in this moment, so married life is nice."
