Millie Bobby Brown Reveals Her Acne in Makeup-Free Selfie Alongside Glam Shot

Brown gave a nod to her beauty and skincare brand in the caption of the post, writing, "@florencebymills send help!"

Millie Bobby Brown is getting real with her fans about her skin.

The Stranger Things star, 19, shared two photos on Instagram Monday in which she revealed she was going through an acne breakout.

The first photo was a mirror selfie of the actress turned to one side as she held up her hair while looking at the camera. In the next slide, Brown shared a close-up of her makeup-free face as she pursed her lips.

She gave a nod to her beauty and skincare brand in the caption of the post, writing, "@florencebymills send help!"

Brown has showcased her real skin and gotten candid about "embracing the imperfections" before, as she did in a March Instagram video. At the time, she shared her skincare routine with fans and her favorite Florence by Mills products for combatting a breakout.

Back in 2019, Brown told PEOPLE that the brand's name was inspired by her grandmother Florence, who helped her love her natural beauty.

"My grandmother embraced her individuality a lot and she expressed herself. I definitely relate to that," she said. "I've been told I'm like her in that respect, and I wanted that to represent my brand as well."

Brown also said that she hoped the brand would help educate people of her generation on the importance of skincare.

"I think there was a void in the market for young people and I think every young person deserves to have a good start to their skincare routine and beauty routine," she said at the time.

Many of her fans praised Brown in the comment section of her Monday Instagram post for being honest about her acne.

"Love how you show off your acne. it is normal and okay to get breakouts.♥️," wrote one social media user. Another fan added, "Thank you for normalizing breakouts. ❤️."

Brown's fiancé, Jake Bongiovi, also left a message, writing, "Love it."

The Enola Holmes actress recently shared in an interview with Glamour that Bongiovi, 21, has been an essential part of her personal growth.

"I was like, 'Why do you love me? And then he listed all these things that I hated about myself. I was like, 'You see good in those things?' And he was like, 'Of course I do,'” she said.

"Those are things that I love about myself now," continued Brown. "He was a really big, huge part of me loving myself and becoming a woman. It was like, 'Wow, I really love this person because he allows me to love myself.'"

The two first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 after sharing a photo together on Instagram and announced their engagement in April 2023. For the announcement, Brown shared a black and white snapshot of the two on Instagram with lyrics from Taylor Swift's "Lover," writing, "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all 🤍."

The photo showed the couple embracing one another on a beach and Brown wearing a diamond ring on her left hand.
