Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Are All Smiles During Shopping Excursion in NYC

The couple announced the news of their engagement in April 2023

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are as happy as a couple can be out in New York City!

In photos obtained by PEOPLE, Bongiovi posed with a toothy grin and a big thumbs up while wearing army green cargo pants, an orange puffer jacket and a blue baseball cap.

As for the Stranger Things star, she held her arm up and flashed an open-mouth smile. She could be seen fashioned in a dark green parka, a multi-colored knitted scarf, cat-eye sun glasses and a brown saddle bag.

The duo stood on a curb surrounded by shopping bags and their dog in tow.

Brown and the son of Jon Bon Jovi first stepped out in June 2021 when the two were photographed holding hands while walking around N.Y.C. Bongiovi was also spotted carrying the Enola Holmes star's dog Winnie in a large denim tote.

By the following November, they were Instagram-official. From enjoying teatime in London to taking in the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, the duo have shared their love story on social media.

In April 2023, the couple announced their engagement news on Instagram, with Brown posting a photo of herself wearing a diamond ring on her left hand as Bongiovi embraced her on the beach.

She captioned the black and white snapshot with lyrics from Taylor Swift's "Lover," writing, "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all 🤍"

Bongiovi shared a shot of the two snapped from another angle during their beachside hug. His post also included a pic of the pair as they looked lovingly at each other on a boat. "Forever 🤍," he captioned his post.

The Enola Holmes alum previously opened up about her nuptials to Bongiovi and gave fans some insight into the upcoming festivities.

“I can say that the [wedding] planning is going — it’s so fun and it’s such an exciting time in my life,” she told Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) in August 2023. She also shared her plans to keep the intimate details about the ceremony under wraps.

“I think probably drawing the curtains, just because there are only so many moments in life that you get only once,” she continued. “And to have everyone’s opinions and eyes looking at that just feels unnatural to me.”

Brown added, “So I feel it’s important to keep those things, those small precious moments in life, really close to your chest."
