Millie Bobby Brown Has a 'Difficult Time' at Red Carpet Events for This Sad Reason
Millie Bobby Brown is a 15-year-old actress who plays on 'Stranger Things.' And, because she is 15-years-old now, she is starting to turn into a young woman. Now that she is turning into a young woman, there is certain fashion attire she wants to wear. However, because she is a young woman at the tender age of 15, she is looked up to by other young women her age and even younger than her. They look up to her to act like her, dress, like her, talk like her, and, well you get the picture.
The media also plays a huge role in what Millie can get away with fashion-wise. Now that she is getting older, she says she wants to wear tighter fitting clothing. She wants to show off the woman that she is becoming but many people in the media criticize her for what she wears.

Brown says the reason she has a 'difficult time' walking Red Carpet events and why it seems sad to her is because of the criticism she receives from journalists in the media. Because of her young age, she has a hard time choosing what is more age-appropriate for her to wear to events such as these.
Nonetheless, she says she tries not to listen to the criticism and tells herself not to listen but it can be very hard most of the time when entering the Red Carpet.
Speaking of the younger generation that looks up to her, she has a rather large social media following. In fact, on Instagram alone, she has more than 30.7 million followers. Her followers on social media mostly consist of fellow celebrities around her age or a little older, some older stars, and young girls who look up to Millie for guidance for themselves.
Brown has been working on being in the entertainment industry since she was just eight years old. Once she became the main and most loved character on the hit Netflix series, 'Stranger Things' her career took off to a whole new level. Now Millie is known all around the country and even the world for the role she plays on the hit show.
About the media criticism, she receives: Millie says they want to write about her 'inappropriate' choice of clothing. She says, according to a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar UK,
"It’s always difficult to dress for a red carpet event because a lot of people have opinions and unfortunately you say you won’t listen to it, but you actually kind of have to, For me, I sit there and think, I’m not going to listen to what they have to say, journalists or whoever wants to write badly about my inappropriate outfit."
Although it seems Millie would love nothing more than to give the media something to write about, she knows that she is a big influence on her young followers. She says,
“I think about the girls who are going to look at the picture, those young girls that are going to look at me and if they think, ‘Wow that’s what I should dress up as,’ They are my age, so those are the ones I think of. I want to make sure that I’m influencing being your age and being who you are in that time of your life."
