Famous NYC bakery Milk Bar is now selling its iconic sweet treats at Target

Milk Bar, the famous NYC-based dessert company, is bringing its treats to a Target store near you. On Monday, Oct. 5, the brand launched a new line of cookies and truffle crumb cakes sold exclusively at the retail chain.
Award-winning chef and star of Netflix’s “Chef’s Table” Christina Tosi founded Milk Bar in 2008. While running the pastry program for Momofuku Ssam Bar, the restaurant of famous chef David Chang, she started creating twists on childhood favorites, like cereal milk panna cotta. Eventually, when a space next to the restaurant became available, she opened up her own place with encouragement from Chang.
Today, Milk Bar is also known for creating some of the most fun, innovative and Instagram-worthy desserts. The signature birthday cake, inspired by funfetti cake and layered with frosting, took almost three years to develop.
Nonetheless, Milk Bar’s launch at Target includes new, refrigerated truffle crumb cakes inspired by the bakery’s famous Cake Truffles. They’re soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, thanks to its rich, buttery cake that’s coated in a layer of icing, sprinkles and cake crumbs.
The truffle crumb cakes come in three flavors — birthday (sprinkles), chocolate birthday (chocolate with sprinkles) and chocolate chip — and are sold in packs of two.

The truffles are available for purchase in-store and through Target’s same-day delivery service where available. However, Milk Bar is also selling soft-baked cookies online at Target, which can be shipped almost anywhere.
The cookies come in three flavors: confetti (sugar cookie with rainbow sprinkles), cornflake chocolate chip marshmallow and compost (made with pretzels, potato chips, coffee, oats, graham crackers, chocolate chips and butterscotch). They’re sold in two packs of four, so you get eight cookies in total.

Milk Bar also announced that additional cookie flavors, including holiday exclusive ones, will be available within the next few months at Target, so stay tuned. (Our fingers are crossed for the brand to create a Target reiteration of its classic Milk Bar Pie!)
You can shop Milk Bar’s cookies and truffle crumb cakes in stores and online at Target today. However, Milk Bar also ships its treats nationwide from its own website, including cookie tins, cakes, pies, truffles and more.
