Miley Cyrus' Long-Awaited New Album has a Release Date at Last

Miley Cyrus Announces New Album 'Plastic Hearts' Coming in November.

Miley Cyrus is rocking out with a music icon.

Ahead of the Nov. 27 release of her upcoming album Plastic Hearts, Cyrus has teamed with Fleetwood Mac superstar Stevie Nicks for an electric remix of her hit "Midnight Sky" titled "Edge of Midnight."

The title — a duet between both musicians — is a clear nod to Nicks' inspiration, as her 1982 single "Edge of Seventeen" laid sonic and spiritual foundation for Cyrus' song and its accompanying music video, which also features numerous visual homages to Nicks' contemporaries like Debbie Harry and Joan Jett.

"@StevieNicks has always been my idol & an inspiration. It’s an honor to now call her my friend and collaborator," Cyrus wrote of the song early Friday morning on Instagram. Nicks added that collaborating with Cyrus was "Magical!" and that she "loved singing with her!"

"Edge of Midnight" marks the fourth official preview of Plastic Hearts, following the original track and Cyrus' two covers of classic rock songs: Blondie's "Heart of Glass" and The Cranberries' "Zombie."

Since its release in August, "Midnight Sky" peaked at No. 14 on the American charts, with Cyrus promoting the track with live performances at the 2020 MTV VMAs and the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Festival.
