Miley Cyrus Reveals She Climbed the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Sign Naked 'After a Rager'

Miley Cyrus is looking back on one of her more memorable escapades.
While celebrating musician pal Wayne Coyne's 60th birthday on Wednesday, the 28-year-old singer posted a collection of snapshots to her Instagram Story. Among the photos included an image of them with Debbie Harry, one of the duo sharing a hug and another of them performing on stage together.
In one final image, Cyrus stood with her hand over her face while leaning on the Flaming Lips frontman. "Standing on Hollywood Blvd morning after a rager," she wrote, admitting, "(I climbed the Roosevelt [hotel] sign naked.)"

Cyrus and Coyne are longtime friends, having collaborated in the past on her 2015 album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, which Coyne co-wrote. Cyrus also lent her vocals to "We a Famly," the final track on the Flaming Lips' 2017 album Oczy Mlody.
In a 2017 interview with The Guardian, Coyne said he first connected with Cyrus on Twitter in January 2014 after she sent him virtual birthday wishes.
"I tweeted her back my phone number and said: 'Text me.' Since then, we've texted each other every day," Coyne shared. "I'll say, 'What are you doing?', and she'll send me pictures of herself peeing."
"Sometimes it's 1,000 times a day, sometimes it's a couple of times a day, but we're in each other's lives," he added.

Cyrus recently posed topless for her January Rolling Stone cover story, in which she opened up about her sobriety journey and where she currently stands after having "fell off" during the coronavirus pandemic.
The "Prisoner" singer revealed in her interview that she was "back on five weeks" sober after drinking again while at home during the COVID-19 lockdowns.
While Cyrus admitted to the relapse with alcohol the artist also said she has continued to stay away from drugs.
"[I] haven't done drugs in years. Honestly, I never try to, again, be a fortune-teller. I try to not be naïve," she said. "Things f---ing happen. But from sitting here with you right now, I would say it would have to be a cold day in hell for me to relapse on drugs."
