The '2020 MTV Video Music Awards' took place in-person and all around New York Sunday night and featured some amazing performances at outdoor locations all around the city including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's performance of "Rain On Me," DaBaby's politically charged medley, and an opening performance one thousand feet above Manhattan by The Weeknd, who later had a powerful message while receiving the award for "Best R&B video." "It's hard for me to celebrate right now and enjoy this moment. So I'm just going to say justice for Jacob Blake and justice for Breonna Taylor. Thank you," said The Weeknd. However, it was Miley Cyrus, who came in like a disco ball, recreating her iconic 2013 "Wrecking Ball" music video, while performing her new single "Midnight Sky," that had viewers buzzing on social media. The nostalgic moment had viewers calling Cyrus an "icon" and a "legend." One fan simply tweeted: "Does Miley Cyrus ever disappoint? No."
