The Miley Cyrus of yesteryear and Hannah Montana are long gone. Through her crazy antics and off the wall behavior, Cyrus has transformed herself into quite the showstopper. She's also inked herself quite a bit of artwork on her body over the years. In fact, she's gotten several tattoos within a few months span. Her latest piece, though, was posted to her Instagram account and features a skeleton with an enlarged heart on her bicep. What are people saying about it and what does the tattoo represent?

The Skeleton Tattoo
The Instagram photo posted on Monday features Cyrus in a black sweatshirt and black beanie, with her back to current boyfriend, Cody Simpson. The tattoo, itself, is composed of a skeleton that is standing upright, has an oversized heart, and a crown and is located on her right bicep. Although her new tattoo addition isn't the biggest one the 50 she currently has, it's still formidable in size. But what are people saying and what does the ink represent to Cyrus?
Classic Miley
Miley has been known for her innovative fashion styles and borderline risque clothing, but her tattoos and their meanings have also garnered quite the attention as they have gradually taken up space on her body. Although many people on social media are still clamoring to understand what the tattoo means, as Cyrus didn't provide an explanation for it, they still think that it's a very stylish inking. What we do know is that it is a nod to the famous, late Alexander McQueen who earned the award of Britisher Designer of the Year, four separate times.
Other Recent Tattoos
Miley has been on a tattoo binder lately, having gotten other ink as recent as this past October. It's believed that the tattoo she got on October was related to her ex, Kaitlynn Carter, who she had dated after the split from then-husband, Liam Hemsworth. The tattoo was a rose, which closely resembled the delicate rose tattoo that Carter received when Cyrus and her were still together. In the same month, Miley also got one that featured a heart with a banner reading "ROCK N' ROLL HEART" and a dagger through it as a nod to the late Billy Idol.

It's safe to say that Miley will be Miley and that includes getting more tattoos. While we want to know what each of these means, Cyrus is a highly spontaneous individual and it's likely that some of them are just for fun with no real deep interpretation or purpose. Regardless, it will be fun to watch out for what she might get inked next. More fashion-forward? Or perhaps another nod to an ex? We'll just have to wait and see.
