Miley Cyrus Jokingly Warns Boyfriend Maxx Morando Not to 'Let Me Down' in Performance of New Love Song

Miley Cyrus has new music up her sleeve!
On Tuesday night, the “Used to Be Young” singer debuted a new song during an intimate performance at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont ahead of her 31st birthday on Nov. 23.
Wearing a strapless black mini dress and matching gloves, the singer was heard singing the lyrics, “Don’t know if it’s ever gonna stop / I wouldn’t mind if it don’t / Don’t leave me high / Don’t let me down / ‘Cause I want you more.”
Cyrus seemingly directed the last lyrics to her boyfriend Maxx Morando, 25, who was in attendance for the performance, according to photos shared by attendees on X.

As she sang, “Don’t let me down,” she looked straight at the front row, where Morando appeared to be sitting, causing the crowd to erupt into laughter.

Miley Cyrus performing at her New Years Eve party.During the special performance, which included a group of invite-only guests, per Billboard, Cyrus also gave the first live performance of her Grammy-nominated breakup hit “Flowers,” which is rumored to be about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
Following the song’s release in January, sources told PEOPLE Cyrus was “the healthiest and happiest she's been in a long time” as she basked in the success of her album Endless Summer Vacation.
After her divorce from the Hunger Games actor, the source added that Cyrus was finally ready to "tell her side of the story" after having "had time to process and heal" from the split.

A second source also told PEOPLE that Morando — who produced two songs on Endless Summer Vacation — is a "cool guy" whose drama-free personality Cyrus finds refreshing.
"He has no interest in being a huge celebrity; he's very low-key. Miley loves these qualities," the insider said at the time. "Miley can be herself. They are supportive of each other's careers. Miley is enjoying life and things are great."
