What's Going On With Miley?
Miley Cyrus is having some of her own fun. After getting a divorce from Liam Hemsworth, she's been linked with several people, causing some to really wonder why she's hopping around so much.
Cyrus fans are still hoping that she gets back together with Hemsworth. The two were on-again, off-again for quite a while before they officially tied the knot. They only got married last year, but in August, 2019, they called it quits.
"Still wishing u both get back," said dhilawaluyo on Instagram.
"We’d like to see u guys getting together, again," said pagekaisha.
Cody Simpson is certainly in love.
He had a crush for Cyrus since 2012, even before they met (which was in 2015). Cheatsheet writes that he spoke to Fuse about it, saying:
“Miley Cyrus has always been my childhood celebrity crush. I knew all the words to her songs, I’m not gonna lie. I’m not ashamed about it at all. I was a big Miley Cyrus fan and I think she will be forever the most dateable Disney star.”
They Found Their Niche
In October, he told People that things just simmered to where they "found" each other in their stride.
“The reason why it hasn’t been a really crazy sudden thing is just because we’ve been friends for so long,” saying they “found each other again in a space where we’re both not partying, working real hard, and it just keeps things healthy and it’s good.”
'We Just Have a Ball'
Simpson also spoke to People about their relationship and how much fun it is.
The way Simpson puts it, things are super happy, and part of it is due to their similar passions, like making music.
“I’m very happy. We are very, very happy. She’s creative. She’s very passionate about what she does, and I’m very similar in that sense. That’s why we get along so well.”
We just have a ball, yeah, and that’s the most important part of a relationship, you know?"
Miley Wasn't Really Happy With Liam
A source also spoke to People, saying Cyrus couldn't really be herself when she was with Liam. That can be a problem for anyone.
“She just got to the point where she didn’t want to hold back about who she is. She wants to be true to herself. Being with Liam, this was just not possible. For them to be happy, she had to change as a person too much. She knows not being with Liam will make her happier in the long run.”
'Midlife Crisis'? Maybe.
Some fans are even calling the series of Cyrus' relationships post-Hemsworth a "midlife crisis."
“Midlife crisis = dating Cody Simpson,” wrote one person on Instagram.
“From Liam to this… like how, like whyyyy?” wrote another.
kaitlovesrocks wrote, "You’re amazing but watch out for that self promoting troll.. ulterior motives much?"
It's unclear whether this fan is referring to Simpson or Cyrus; it's probably Simpson, since many aren't happy with him, including when he put up that environmentally-conscious post that people are calling phony.
Whatever this is between Cody and Miley, it currently has staying power.
