Miley Cyrus rounded out a week of bold New York ensembles with a surprisingly comfortable final look.

The “Hannah Montana” alumna checked out of the Bowery Hotel with her mom, Trish Cyrus, on Mother’s Day yesterday in coordinating sweats. Miley’s look layered a matching gray sweatshirt and sweatpants under a $3,000 Louis Vuitton puffer.

On her feet, the “Slide Away” musician broke out her favorite chunky loafers for an on-trend finishing touch. The chunky, lug-sole shoes come with smooth leather uppers and the brand’s signature horse-bit accent in gold hardware, all retailing for $950 at Net-a-Porter.

From Prada, Chanel, Dr. Martens and more, loafers are experiencing a comeback on the celeb style scene this season. The silhouette offers an elevated balancing point between a ballet flat, a combat boot or a slip-on sneaker with their versatility and more polished appeal. Stars like Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid and even first lady Jill Biden have frequented their own choice of loafers in the past few weeks alone.

Cyrus debuted the same pair of chunky shoes earlier in the weekend as she headed to “Saturday Night Live” rehearsals on Friday. This time around, the former Disney Channel star modeled an unmissable blue suede fringe jacket and split tone trousers for the outing.

As for Cyrus herself, the singer is no stranger to a stir-causing style moment. While she is best known for her hit albums and box office films, the “Plastic Hearts” singer also dips her toes in the fashion and shoe space. The hit star made an appearance on the runway at the Marc Jacobs’ fall ’20 show and has also sat front row at shows for top labels such as Tom Ford and Saint Laurent. She also has worked with Converse on a series of pride-filled shoe collections.

The Converse collaborator has also been vegan for years, leading her to oftentimes embrace wardrobe pieces that are cruelty-free. In fact, at last year’s Met Gala, Cyrus teamed a Saint Laurent minidress with a custom vegan leather version of the brand’s Paige platform sandals. Her other go-to designers for fashion and apparel include any label that can give her look a standout edge — think Versace, Saint Laurent, Alexandre Vauthier and Azalea Wang amongst others.
