Miles Bridges posterized own Michigan State teammate
There wasn’t much for the Big Ten to crow about in this year’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The ACC dominated in almost every facet, walking away with an 11 -3 record and undisputed bragging rights.
The Big Ten, however, may have walked away with the best highlight in the challenge’s final game, Michigan State’s decisive 81-63 win over Notre Dame on Thursday night.
In the game’s opening minutes, Miles Bridges threw down a thunderous alley-oop, sending his own teammate Nick Ward to the ground and the Breslin Center into a tizzy.

Here’s an even better angle that will show you just how much force Ward absorbed by getting in Bridges’ way:

Man, that was just awesome.
Though the Big Ten has proven itself to be pedestrian over the season’s first month, there’s no doubt Michigan State is the cream of the crop and a true national title contender. The Spartans are 6-1 with impressive wins over North Carolina and Notre Dame and their only loss has come to top-ranked Duke.
And while Tom Izzo might worry about the nights his team beats itself, that old adage actually turned out to be a good thing on Thursday night.
