EXCLUSIVE: Skydance has closed a deal with Mila Kunis (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) to produce and star in The 47 Night Stand, a new film scripted by 4x Emmy nominee Greg Malins (Friends, How I Met Your Mother).

The project is in the early stages and the logline is being kept under wraps, though it’s described as a fresh and funny take on romance in the tradition of classic favorites.

David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger will produce for Skydance, alongside Kunis for her Orchard Farm Productions, and Ruben Fleischer. Orchard Farm’s Lisa Sterbakov will serve as executive producer, with Carin Sage overseeing the project for Skydance.

No stranger to big screen romance, Kunis has previously showcased her chops in the genre as the lead of titles like Friends with Benefits and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Other notable film credits include the addiction drama Four Good Days, action comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me, Bad Moms and offshoot A Bad Moms Christmas, Oz the Great and Powerful, Ted and Black Swan, to name just a few.

Also known for starring on Fox’s long-running sitcom That ’70s Show, Kunis will next be seen starring alongside Michael Keaton and Andie MacDowell in the indie comedy Goodrich.

Other live-action film titles coming up for Skydance, following a big couple of years with Top Gun: Maverick and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, include Apple genre-bender The Gorge, the Guy Ritchie-helmed Fountain of Youth, and action adventure pic Mayday for Apple TV+, along with Mission: Impossible 8.

Kunis is repped by Curtis Talent Management, CAA and attorney Patti Felker of Felker Toczek Suddleson.
