Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Rihanna Spoof ‘Twilight’ in ‘MoonQuake Lake’ Trailer

At long last, it’s the Mila Kunis/Ashton Kutcher supernatural romance we’ve all been waiting for! MoonQuake Lake stars Kunis as some sort of reptilian creature from the moon, while her real-life husband Kutcher plays the man whose love can bring her down to Earth. Rihanna co-stars as a lunar sea monster queen who communicates via smartphone.

And just in case it wasn’t clear, this movie is totally not real. MoonQuake Lake is a fake film featured in the new remake of Annie (opening Dec. 19), and is a pretty clear send-up of YA romances like Twilight.  Nevertheless, Annie director Will Gluck went all out, creating the trailer above and commissioning a theme song from Beck and Sia (now playing on the imaginary film’s website). Gluck even gave MoonQuake Lake a director credit, saying it’s the work of Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The Lego Movie directors, for their part, seem happy to play along. ”MoonQuake Lake, we’re envisioning as a four-part series. Although we might split the fourth movie into three movies. So, as many as seven films,” Miller told The Huffington Post“The MoonQuake fans, or ‘Quakers,’ are a very powerful lobbying group,” Lord added.
