Mike Vogel Answers Your Twitter Qs (Even the One About His Underwear)
Under the Dome star Mike Vogel is back on your TV Dec. 14 with Syfy’s three-night event Childhood’s End. In the adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke’s novel, he plays Ricky Stormgren, the man with whom the ambassador of the alien Overlords, Karellen (Game of Thrones’ Tywin Lannister, Charles Dance), wants to deal as he pitches their peaceful invasion of Earth. Is the promise of ending war and disease worth the cost of human identity and culture?
That’s a serious discussion, of course. But when Vogel visited Yahoo TV, we asked him to lighten up and field questions submitted by fans on Twitter. There were the professional queries (Who would he still love to work with? What TV show would he love to reboot? What would he be doing if he wasn’t an actor?), and then the more personal (What color is his underwear? What’s his go-to shower song? What’s his favorite flavor of ice cream?). The latter received enjoyably thorough answers.
In the video below, we test Vogel’s knowledge of TV aliens. One clarification re: his answer to the question about ALF’s favorite food: “We were given a cat with our house, he kind of came with the farm, he’s won me over,” he said. “So that’s one cat that would not go to dinner if I was ALF.”
