Mike Tyson Smokes $40,000 Worth of Marijuana Every Month

Mike Tyson is becoming the King of the Cannabis industry, and plowing through more grass than a lawnmower.

On Monday's episode of Tyson's podcast, "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson," the former heavyweight champion shared just how much he spends per month on cannabis.

"What do we smoke a month?" he asked his co-host, former NFL player turned marijuana advocate Eben Britton. "Is it $40,000 a month?"

"We smoke 10 tons of weed at the ranch a month," Britton said, referencing Tyson Ranch, the boxer's forthcoming 40-acre marijuana farm and "resort."

"Is that crazy?" Tyson asked, though it seemed he already knew the answer.

His guest, rapper Jim Jones, was shocked and said, "That's a lot of weed."

Jones did the math and said, "That's nonstop, every second weed right there."

52-year-old Tyson also sells around $500,000 worth of cannabis each month and has bold plans for a 420-acre ranch in California that will serve as a playground for cannabis enthusiasts, and even feature a luxury hotel and golf course.

The ranch broke ground in December 2017 but has not yet been finished.

Along with the hotel, there will be glamping tents, a lazy river that will take a full hour to cross, and an amphitheater for concerts to be held.

The ranch will also feature Tyson University with classes to teach cannabis-cultivation techniques to future farmers and professionals in the cannabis industry.

The company had a full-fledged map plan for the elaborate ranch, however it's not clear just how much progress has been made.

Although the resort is not fully ready, Tyson has already rolled out music festivals at the site.

In February people gathered outside Palm Springs on the site of the resort for the inaugural Kind Festival where Miguel and A$AP Ferg performed.

Concert goers enjoyed smoking with Mike while listening to music, and got a small taste of what the future for Tyson Ranch holds.
