Tyson last stepped into the ring in 2020 for an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. His professional career record is 50 wins and six losses, with 44 knockouts.

Paul, a former YouTube personality turned professional boxer, has a record of nine wins and one loss, with six knockouts. “Whether you’re tuning in on Netflix or showing out in person, whether you’re team Paul or team Tyson, or whether you’re a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you’re not going to want to miss this event,” Paul said in a statement. “My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion ever, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. This will be the fight of a lifetime.”

Over the last year, Netflix has begun to add live sports to its content library with tennis and golf matches. The streamer also recently acquired the rights to air WWE’s Monday Night Raw in a deal valued at $5 billion dollars.
