Vice President Mike Pence got an unexpected visitor at the Vice Presidential debate Wednesday night, which turned into the moment which would garner the most buzz. A little over an hour into the debate, as Pence and Kamala Harris discussed police brutality and racism in the United States, a fly landed on the top of Pence’s head. The Vice President apparently didn’t notice because the fly was there for over two minutes, clearly visible for all to see. The fly immediately started trending on Twitter. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden seized on the situation and turned it into a fundraising opportunity. Biden tweeted out a picture of himself with a fly swatter and the caption, “Pitch in $5 to help this campaign fly.”
