Mike Caussin 'Thankful' Ex Jana Kramer Found Fiancé Allan Russell: 'We Have Both Found a Way to Flourish'

Mike Caussin is thankful for his current relationship with ex-wife Jana Kramer.

The former NFL player 36, opened up about his gratitude for Kramer, 39, and her fiancé Allan Russell in a heartfelt Thanksgiving Instagram post, which featured a photo of himself, Kramer and Russell, 42, with Kramer and Caussin's two kids: daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, who turns 5 on Wednesday.

"I’m going against my own reasoning for creating this account and choosing to make a personal post," Caussin began in the caption. "I have an immense amount to be thankful for, most of which is my family. Starting with my parents and siblings. Simply said ... they epitomize unconditional love."

"Next is my 'modern family,' " he continued alongside the Thursday photo post. "I’m incredibly grateful for where @kramergirl and I are at in our relationship. We have both found a way to flourish for ourselves and more importantly the kids. The fact that she has found someone like @superiorstriker only adds to my level of gratitude towards the entire situation."

"Jolie and Jace have the gift of three parents that love them and will do anything to protect them. As a father, what more could I ask for… Happy Thanksgiving 🙌🏼," Caussin concluded his post, which Kramer reposted to her Instagram Story alongside the word "thankful" and a blue heart emoji.

During a May episode of her Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast, the country star announced her engagement to her now-fiancé, after six-and-a-half months of dating. The two went on to welcome son Roman on Nov. 13.

Detailing how Caussin reacted after learning about the engagement during a FaceTime call with their daughter, Kramer recalled, "He was like, 'Hey, I'm really happy for you. Allan's a great guy.' "

After thanking Caussin, Kramer explained that she started to cry over her ex's reaction.

"Because he goes, 'Of all people, you deserve to have someone who loves you and respects you. You deserve this. After everything I put you through, you deserve this more than anyone.' And it meant so much to me that he said that," she said.

Kramer celebrated Roman's first Thanksgiving with him and Russell, highlighting in one video how her family was in town to visit, as another clip showed her fiancé preparing their holiday feast.

"First Thanksgiving 🦃❤️," Kramer captioned an image of herself relaxing while Russell held their newborn baby boy.

In a post shared on her feed, the One Tree Hill alum included some family photographs and wrote in her caption: "Beyond thankful for my family, our newest addition, my friends and all of you ♥️."

"Hope you all have a beautiful thanksgiving and enjoy the season you are in as new ones are just around the corner. Xx," Kramer added.
