Miguel And J. Cole Pursue Love Interests In “Come Through And Chill” Video
Miguel finally decided to release the music visual for his sensual collaboration with J. Cole, “Come Through and Chill,” off Miguel’s War and Leisure album.
Directed by Kevin Calero, the “Coffee” singer performs the song’s lyrics from a chair inside of a dance studio, while trying to catch the attention of a love interest. Meanwhile, Cole hits an open mic stage to perform his flirty rhymes before a chill audience.
War and Leisure, Miguel’s fourth studio album, was spearheaded by the Travi$ Scott-assisted “Sky Walker.” The album also features the likes of Rick Ross, Kali Uchis, J. Cole, Salaam Remi, among others and is his politically-charged album, according to the the songwriter in an interview with Billboard. Prior to the album’s release, the 32-year-old crooner spent some time protesting with immigrant rights advocates outside of the L.A.’s Adelanto Detention Center, a privately owned federal facility for undocumented immigrants.
“They call them ‘detention centers,’ but they’re really jails,” Miguel said during an interview with Billboard. “You start to see the real reason behind innocent people’s lives being ruined — it’s just money. The corporations are getting money from cheap labor, essentially.”
