Shaun Weiss, famous for his role in the sports franchise film "Mighty Ducks" is marking a remarkable milestone in his sobriety journey.

Over the weekend, the actor marked four years of sobriety with a celebratory post on social media and a nostalgic hangout with several '90s stars.

Shaun Weiss Marks 4-year Sobriety Anniversary

Weiss took to Instagram to share the good news with his over 31,000 followers. He uploaded a photo of himself looking healthy and thriving while wearing a baseball jacket over a white shirt with the word sober printed on it.

The actor had a clean shave and spread his arms in joy before simply declaring "4 years clean!" The post was met with celebratory remarks from his fans, who praised him for working hard to change his life.

"I'm happy you found your way back, my friend," wrote a follower while another penned, "Way to go GOLDBURG THE GOALIE!!!!" Another comment read, "you have A LOT to be proud of Shawn!! So happy for you! Much love and respect! 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟."

This thrilled user stated "I’ve been cheering you on for so long. So happy for you. God is good!!!" Another noted, "My man, much love brother. Keep up the awesome work." More comments read, "Congratulations Shaun. We are so proud of you. We love you so much Sir. God bless you every day!!!"

Following the impressive milestone, Weiss hosted a celebration comedy standup event that was attended by some of the big 90s legends. The likes of Natanya Ross of "The Secret World of Alex Mack," Nate Richert of "Sabrina The Teenage Witch," Michael Ray Bower, who starred in Nickelodeon's "Salute Your Shorts," and comic Ryan Talmo.

Weiss' upcoming movie project "Deform Melody" — an upcoming feature horror movie — also celebrated the New Jersey native's achievement with a post on Instagram,

"Congratulations to our incredible cast member @shaunweiss who celebrated 4 years of sobriety! We had a blast at his stand up comedy celebration and enjoyed a night of laughs and 90s legends. We are so proud of Shaun’s strength in his journey of sobriety and his presence in our film elevated the entirety of the project and made us work that much harder to make something special and worthy of time. We cannot wait till the world sees him in this film. It’s like nothing he’s done before. "

Shaun Weiss Turns His Addiction Battle Into Comedy Fodder

Weiss's four-year sobriety anniversary comes almost a year after he addressed his past addiction problems and arrests during a standup session at the Mic Drop Comedy Club in San Diego in April. He particularly poked fun at his 2020 arrest, mocking his mugshot.

"I don't know if you saw that child actor arrested for burglary," he told the audience. "I was very disappointed in myself… I didn't even wear a disguise. What the hell? Come on, Goldberg, you can do better than that."

He continued addressing his mug shot, "I'll tell you, they're not using any Instagram filters down there at the station. This photo was rough. You know you look bad when your drug dealer doesn't want to be seen in public with you. That's when you should reassess things."

Weiss has been sober since 2020 and hasn't shied away from speaking about how he turned to stealing and petty theft to support his drug addiction. In an interview with "Addiction Talk," the actor confessed that he stole $1,000 worth of electronics daily to feed his addiction.

He credited his life as a child actor for pushing him to drugs, saying, "It made me an adrenaline junkie. Things were a lot more exciting for me than the average 13-year-old — taking trips and flying to places and being in movies. So I was very addicted to the excitement of things. And when that went away, I didn't really know how to get that feeling. And I found that in drugs."
