‘@Midnight’ Comedians Set Hilarious Guidelines for Trump/Clinton Debate

Donald Trump recently told Time magazine that the only way he would agree to the presidential debates with Hillary Clinton would be if he could set the terms himself. So on @Midnight, Chris Hardwick questioned what that meant, such as, “No debates during NFL games, no crying babies, no mean moderators who will ask unfair ‘gotcha’ questions like, ‘We shouldn’t have a president who suggests shooting Hillary Clinton, right?’”

In a segment called “All My Debate Haters,” Chris had the comedians give examples of terms that Donald Trump might require, like, “Hillary can only ask him questions about The Apprentice.” Everyone gave some funny examples, but the star of the segment was Annie Lederman, who had some hilarious rules, including: “They must provide a hotel room for Scott Baio so he doesn’t have to sleep in his car.” The guideline that got the biggest response from the audience and other comedians was disturbing, yet brilliant: “His daughter gets to sit on his lap the whole time.”

@Midnight airs weeknights at midnight on Comedy Central.

The Daily Show isn’t laughing at Trump’s “joke”:
