Mickey Guyton, Leon Bridges make music from the pain of police brutality

In response to the killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, dozens of artists have voiced their heavy thoughts and feelings in song. Country singer Mickey Guyton wrote “Black Like Me" last year about her experiences with racism but released it on Black Out Tuesday because it resonated so perfectly with the times, while Leon Bridges recently released “Sweeter.” (June 8)
