Mick Jagger takes a 'walk in the park' one week after heart surgery halted Stones tour

Mick Jagger is back on his feet after heart valve replacement surgery.

The 75-year-old rock legend, who was operated on in NYC last week, shared his first social media photo since the ordeal. “A walk in the park,” he captioned the shot, which showed him in jeans, sneakers, a button down and hat posing in front of a beautiful blooming tree.

The Rolling Stones frontman’s fans weren’t the only ones thrilled to see him up and at ‘em after his hospitalization. Many of the comments on the post came from family members and celebrity pals.

His daughter Georgia May Jagger, a 27-year-old model, commented, “Love you Dada” with some hearts. His 19-year-old son Lucas Jagger posted a series of hearts — as did the teen’s mom, Luciana Gimenez.

Lenny Kravitz wrote, “Yeah man.” Piers Morgan commented, “Good to see you back on your feet, Sir Michael.” And both Naomi Campbell and Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie communicated with all emojis: kisses, hearts and high fives.

The Stones’s No Filter tour was abruptly halted in late March for Jagger to receive medical treatment. Days later it was revealed he would be having heart surgery. The procedure — a minimally invasive transcatheter aortic valve replacement, according to Billboard — took place last Thursday and went off without a hitch. Jagger shared on social media a day later that he was already “on the mend.” But now his many fans get to see it with their own eyes.

If all goes well, Jagger and his bandmates are expected to return to the stage this summer to make up the missed dates.
