Michigan State falls to No. 25 in AP poll after Arizona State loss
Michigan State tumbled 10 spots to No. 25 in the post-Week 2 AP poll after losing 16-13 to Arizona State late Saturday night.
The Sun Devils were unranked entering the game and are now at No. 23. The other big downward mover was USC, who fell five spots to No. 22 after losing to Stanford. The Cardinal were at No. 10 entering the weekend and moved up to No. 9 after the win.
Wisconsin drops after a win. Again.
There’s something voters don’t like about Wisconsin. The Badgers easily dispatched New Mexico in the second half to move to 2-0 but dropped from No. 5 to No. 6 after getting jumped by Oklahoma. The Badgers started the season at No. 4 but moved to No. 5 after a Week 1 win against Western Kentucky. That game wasn’t close as well. We’re not sure what’s going on here, but the Badgers are fine as long as they keep winning.
That was the only movement inside the top five. The top four of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State stayed the same. All four teams won on Saturday, though Clemson got a scare at the hands of Texas A&M.
