Ex-Michigan staffer allegedly bit lab tech after drunk driving arrest (Updated)
Fergus Connolly is no longer a member of Michigan’s football staff.
A spokesperson told ESPN on Thursday that Connolly had been removed from his position.

The alleged details of a Michigan staffer’s suspicion of drunk driving arrest are wild.
MLive.com obtained the police report regarding Fergus Connolly’s March 5 arrest after he crashed a Chevrolet Tahoe. Connolly is the director of performance for Michigan football.

• Connolly was allegedly barefoot and his feet were bloody when he was discovered just before noon following the reports of a hit and run. He allegedly hit a parked car with a Tahoe that, according to MLive, could possibly be a school vehicle.
• Police said Connolly had no idea where he was and smelled like “intoxicants.” He was on the phone with a University of Michigan police officer when Ann Arbor police found him.
• He allegedly told police “I did it, myself!” regarding the crash.
• Connolly told officers to “[expletive] off” and kept falling from a bench at the police station after his arrest. He had to be restrained after allegedly swinging at an officer.
• He then allegedly swung at another officer after he was taken to the hospital. That got him handcuffed to a hospital bed, yet he still allegedly grabbed a security officer by the throat.
• Connolly then allegedly bit a lab technician at the hospital, though it wasn’t a significant bite. He also did not tell them who he was, nor did he have any ID with him.
Connolly has been with the school since 2016. He came to Michigan from the San Francisco 49ers, where he worked with Jim Harbaugh for a season before Harbaugh became the Wolverines’ coach.
