Michigan and South Carolina football players apparently take their bowling seriously.

The pair of underwhelming teams were awarded a prime New Year’s Day bowl slot in Monday’s Outback Bowl, but got the competition started a little early Wednesday night at a Tampa bowling alley Splitsville, where this happened.

Thankfully for parties involved, it was a lot of hemming an hawing that resembled an NBA scuffle more than a Florida bar brawl.

A pair of state troopers made their way to the scene, but had little to do other than stand there and soak in the atmosphere before both groups went their separate ways.

Jim Harbaugh’s nowhere to be seen, but is surely nodding approvingly somewhere.
