Michael J. Fox memorably played teenage Republican on the 80s sitcom, "Family Ties." At the time, his character represented the cultural differences of the Regan era, with Keaton acting as a foil to his hippie parents.

On "The View" Fox commented on how Keaton might vote in 2020, saying, "I don’t think he’d think much of Trump, I think he would have liked [George] Bush. I think he would have liked [Mitt] Romney."

Fox, who supported Pete Buttigieg in the Democratic primary, added, "I think [Keaton] would have liked a lot of these [Republican] guys but I don’t think he would have dug Trump."
