Michael Douglas is one proud grandpa!

On Tuesday, the two-time Oscar winner, 76, shared a photo of himself meeting his newborn grandson Ryder for the very first time.

In the sweet black-and-white shot, the actor cradles the infant in his arms while holding on to a baby bottle.

"First time I've seen my month old grandson, Ryder! 😃 ❤️," he captioned the picture on his Instagram.

The adorable newborn is the second child of Cameron Douglas — Michael's eldest son — and his longtime partner Viviane Thibes.

Cameron, 42, announced the baby's arrival in late December, writing on his Instagram alongside a family photo, "Touch down planet earth 🌎 Welcome my Son...Ryder T. Douglas 🦋."

At the time, Michael couldn't help but notice his 3-year-old granddaughter Lua Izzy's hilarious expression in the picture, commenting under Cameron's post, "So happy for Vivian and you. Don't think Lua is sure about this yet!"

"What a holiday present," he added.

Michael's wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, also congratulated the couple on their newest addition, writing in the comments section, "Lua's Face! like.....'whatever..........' Hilarious! Congrats!!"

In 2017, Cameron opened up to PEOPLE about his bond with his famous dad, saying that the family is "closer now than ever" after experiencing some troubled times that led to some distance between the father and son.

"In difficult times, we tend to come closer. It is a beautiful sort of trait that we have," Cameron said, adding, "My father and I have an amazing relationship. I love spending time with him, and I will spend as much time with him as I can."
