Perpetual Prankster Michael Carbonaro Freaks Out ‘Today’ Show Anchors

On the third hour of Today, they welcomed back perpetual prankster Michael Carbonaro of truTV’s The Carbonaro Effect. On his last visit to the show, Carbonaro pranked co-host Sheinelle Jones by somehow making cockroaches appear under a cup. Jones was confident Carbonaro wouldn’t get her this time around, but she was wrong.

On The Carbonaro Effect, Carbonaro pranks unsuspecting victims with seemingly impossible scenarios, so when he did something as simple as handing Jones a box of cookies to apologize for last time, she should have seen it coming.

Jones lifted up the box, releasing cockroaches, the sight of which made her and fellow co-host Dylan Dreyer scream and run away. Guest co-host Ken Jeong was unfazed. In fact, he took a bite of one of the cookies and said it tasted fine. Carbonaro then took a bite of the same cookie and a cockroach crawled out of his mouth, causing another hilarious reaction from Jones.

Carbonaro showed how nice a guy he is, though. He offered to leave the cookies for the crew.
